I wanted to begin with a post about what to expect when I’m expecting.

1. Publishing updates

Be the first to hear when I have book news! I imagine it’ll be the major stuff like book announcements, cover reveals, touring dates, and how to get your hands on ARCs.

2. Author insights

Helpful (hopefully!) thoughts on writing and the publishing industry. Insights into what it’s like from my side of the screen. Discussion of things like querying, agents, mentorships, social media, and book trends.

3. You tell me!

Do let me know if there’s anything specific you’d like to hear from me. I’m suspecting I’ll put most of my focus on the big announcements and cool opportunities that you’ll actually care about… But other musings could be nice, especially if there’s no news for months and months and I want you to be aware that I’m still alive. I’ll listen to feedback, figure out what’s working, and evolve this thing as I go.

Young Adult Mystery

A teen finds herself in hot water after her LGBTQ+ Club is in the wrong place at the wrong time when a cheerleader is attacked. She and her friends now must find the culprit and clear their names—without becoming the next targets.

This one has a campy, comedic, and younger tone. I personally comp it to Bottoms and I Kissed Shara Wheeler but also hear Scooby Doo and Heathers a lot.

Young Adult Mystery

A teen attends a true crime content creator retreat only for it to devolve into a murder mystery of its own. Almost as terrifying is that they’re forced to team up with their dorky, annoyingly-hot internet nemesis to solve the case.

A somewhat darker, more mature book, but it retains the romance and humor of my debut. Booklist calls it “Clue meets Bodies Bodies Bodies.”

Overall, I love writing books that balance scary, suspenseful stuff with humor and joy. Just like real life!! Queer and neurodivergent representation is also very important to me; I aspire to write goofy stories that entertain first and foremost but can also make readers feel seen and empowered.
